BEFORE

Confirm the plan.

Check your event, arrival time, location, and sponsor instructions. Finish your case, speech, legislation work, or research before tournament day.

DURING

Compete and listen.

Find each assigned room, arrive with time to settle in, follow the judge’s directions, treat every competitor respectfully, and write down useful feedback.

AFTER

Turn feedback into progress.

Save ballots or comments when available, identify one strength and one improvement, then revise materials before the next practice or tournament.

32 STUDENTS.
ONE NATIONAL STAGE.

In June 2026, 32 Moody students competed at the National Speech & Debate Tournament. Moody sent the second-largest middle-school delegation in the nation.

Students performed strongly while competing with peers from across the country. The experience gave the team a chance to test its preparation, hear new approaches, and represent Moody on a national stage.
